Falkner House has a very strong tradition in the humanities, and we feel passionately about the importance of these subjects in the girls’ lives.
One can sometimes be fooled into thinking that English, maths and science are the only things that matter in terms of children’s learning, but this is far from the case! A child leaving Falkner House will know her Icarus from her Minotaur, can compare the factions of the French Revolution, and will have got to grips with conversational Spanish. From Everest to the rainforest, from the Suffragettes to the Industrial Revolution, our phenomenal teachers draw on years of experience to make these topics come alive and enrich every aspect of the girls’ learning.
