Starting school can feel extremely daunting for a child in Reception!
With this in mind, all new girls are given a “big sister” in Year 6, who will be there as a friend and mentor throughout a girl’s time in Reception. There are timetabled weekly opportunities for the big/little sisters to catch up and do arts and crafts together, to read together and to do team-building exercises. Not only do the Reception girls love it, the Year 6’s relish the opportunity to coach, mentor and encourage the new arrivals!
