Year 1 Visit to the National Gallery

13th May 2022

Year 1 had a wonderful trip to the National Gallery. Our brilliant guide explained about all the things you need to have to make a painting. In the 12th century, artists mixed ground up rocks with egg yolks to make paint. We travelled to the rainforest and met the tiger in Henri Rousseau’s painting and we learnt how Monet painted his waterlilies on an enormous canvas.
