In science, Year 6 has been learning about friction and how it acts to slow things down. They carried out the ‘Jelly Investigation’ where they had to move 12 jelly cubes from one plate to another against the clock – using chopsticks. Their partner then took a turn. Next we poured a little cooking oil over the jelly to lubricate it and see if it made a difference. We ran the test again. Watching jelly scoot and slide all over the plates made it even more challenging. It was great fun.
