School Dogs

A popular and loyal representative of the school is Juno the dog.  A Cockerpoo with strong family roots in Falkner House, Juno greets the children at the front door in the morning and when the children move between the classrooms during the day.  She is also extremely proficient at ensuring the floors and garden of the school are clear of lunch and snack detritus.

Nelson is a more recent arrival, he is Mrs Wood’s French Bulldog who is still brushing up on the task of being a good school dog, but who is very loving and is rather fond of a tummy tickle. He is now beginning to understand that he is a Falkner House representative at all times, even when outside the classroom.

In the Year 2 classroom, you are likely to come upon Desmond, the most youthful member of the team. A brown Labrador very proudly owned by Mrs A. Desmond is a great reading aid, always keen to offer a listening ear. He spends most of the day snoozing under Mrs A’s desk, when he is not causing trouble with Nelson.

The quietest, calmest, and most reliable of school dogs: Beth is a working Cocker who belongs to Mr and Mrs Easton. She relaxes in the office throughout the day and stares soulfully at the teachers during lunch.
