Starting school can feel extremely daunting for a child in Reception!
With this in mind, all new boys are given a “big brother” in Year 6, who will be there as a friend and mentor throughout a boy’s time in Reception. There are timetabled weekly opportunities for the big/little brothers to catch up and do arts and crafts together, to read together and to do team-building exercises. Not only do the Reception boys love it, the Year 6’s relish the opportunity to coach, mentor and encourage the new arrivals!
