Woodcarving Workshops

5th July 2019

Spend an afternoon in Ravenscourt Park (W6) learning wood carving skills.  Techniques learnt will be basic carving, shaping and sanding as well as the beginnings of design.

You will work on a butter knife, spoon, spatula or fiddle stick (great for kids) starting with a blank piece of beautiful timber.  It’s a wonderful opportunity to use your hands, learn a great skill and make new friends.  A cross-generational activity and chance for parents and children to do a Workshop together.

After 3 hours, you will go home with your own creation.

Spaces are limited to six people per session, and minimum age is 8 upwards.  Groups are mixed ages but Adult Evening groups are also held.

This is a series of courses for children/adults in the craft of woodworking run by experienced furniture designer and maker, Adam Findlay.  Adam is a practising Design and Technology teacher at a secondary school in Hampstead.

No experience is necessary but knives and other carving tools will be used so we will be covering all aspects of safe working from the outset.

COST:  ££40 for the 3 hour session, including materials
