This week in Nursery we enjoyed meeting and making new friends. We had fun exploring the sensory tray and discovering the new toys and games set up in the classes.
The children were introduced to our new topic ‘Animals’. We focused on the pets we have or would like to have at home. We discussed what we need to do to care for these animals and who would help them if they became poorly. Under the stairs our nook became a home for pet carers and in the letter room, poorly pets were taken care of by a superb team of vets!
We looked closely at our pets in Nursery, six orange fish and three water snails. On Thursday there was great excitement when Norman and Humphrey, the school Guinea pigs came to visit. Those who wished, held and gently patted these friendly and patient pets!
