This week we have been focusing on London Landmarks. We introduced our topic with Russell Punter’s book ‘Pussy Cat, Pussy Cat, Where Have You Been?’ and followed the cat’s adventures around the iconic landmarks in London.

Royalty visited Nursery both in Buckingham Palace in the letter room and the Tower of London under the stairs. Both landmarks were very busy throughout the week as regal clothes were adorned and tea continuously flowed. Harris the raven and royal dogs were pampered, while the visiting ‘pussy cat’ and Paddington Bear were made to feel very welcome!

On Friday we read ‘Ava’s Poppy’ by Marcus Pfister.  Everyone made a poppy, creating a poppy field ahead of Remembrance Day.

A big thank you to Ellora’s mother, Mrs Kansagra who came to introduce the festive celebration Diwali on Friday afternoon. The children decorated their own diyas to take home along with a gift bag from Ellora.
