We have had another fun filled week focusing on the magnificent minibeast – the dragonfly. We learnt about the insect body parts with the help of the catchy song, ‘Head, Thorax, Abdomen’ sung to the tune of ‘Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes’.
We have all enjoyed a busy and creative week. Both the waterplay in the ‘lilypond’ and the minibeast garden under the stairs continued to be a real hit! Both areas provided both energetic and calm imaginative play.
In the number room we were busy with rectangle activities. Lashings of glue, rolls of masking tape, along with many boxes were used to construct and create rectangle art.
The sound ‘m’ was the focus in the letter room, from magnetic block constructions, to drawings of mummy and me and building homes for a mischief of mice!
