This week we enjoyed a craft filled week making hats for our Christmas show and ornaments that are currently decorating the Nursery. Between the beautiful scent of our Christmas tree and the orange and clove decorations we have been making, Christmas has ‘arrived’ in Nursery!
On Friday we all sat together under the glow of fairy lights to listen to our first advent Christmas book. There was great excitement as the children discovered a picture clue hiding behind number 1, showing us which book to search for.
Under the stairs our nook became a cosy kitchen where the children baked batches of delicious Christmas cookies and in the classrooms the children enjoyed winter snow themed activities.
Thank you to Noah, Sophie and their families who shared their Hanukkah traditions, stories and treats with the morning class on Tuesday. We especially enjoyed the delightful and amusing story, ‘Hanukkah Bear’, by Eric A. Kimmel!
On Tuesday 5th December we have our dress rehearsals and on Friday 8th December we will perform our Christmas show for the parents. Please can the children be well rested for their mini productions! Thank you.
Request: With the chillier weather, the children are needing more layers. Could all these extra layers of clothing please come with the children’s own name.
Please could all named gloves and mittens come attached to coats, either by elastic, ribbon or clips. Thank you.
