This week in Nursery we looked at what animals we see on the farm. The children matched the different animal families and were introduced to the names of the mother, father and baby animals. We looked at where they live on the farm and what role these animals have; helping the farmers, giving us wool, milk or eggs. And while singing the song ‘Old Mac Donald’ we all learnt the sounds these animals make.
Under the stairs our nook became a farm, where the animals were sorted and shepherded into the paddocks by caring farmers, as too the small world farm animals in the letter room.
On Wednesday 25th January we will be celebrating Burns Day! The children are invited to wear any form of tartan.
On Friday 27th January we will celebrate Chinese New Year. The children are invited to come as their animal character.
