This week we continued focusing on the fairy tale, ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’.
The Bears’ house under the stairs continued to delight all as the children really embraced the fairy tale. There were cries of despair as they saw how Goldilocks had left the home as they retold and re-enacted the story and created their own versions.
We ended the week on a high – celebrating Founder’s Day, the school’s 72nd anniversary, with an Amazing Authors and Brilliant Books Theme! The costumes were amazing and the day was enjoyed by all!
In Nursery we based our theme on our current fairy tale. The children came downstairs to see three very distraught bears. The night before we experienced breaking and entering, theft and vandalism! Thankfully, CCTV cameras caught the culprit in the act. Unfortunately, the golden hair perpetrator had fled the scene with various other fairy tale characters and objects. After gathering for an incident briefing and watching the footage, the children, armed with magnifying glasses, followed clues through the school to find the missing stash. The perpetrator is still at large despite the many sightings!
