This week we focused on the fairy tale, ‘The Three Little Pigs. We looked at a few versions of the story with different characters, but all with the same key characters, plot and moral.

We had a creative week with the children retelling and re-enacting the fairy tale and creating their own versions in the story tray.

Under the stairs, our ‘nook’ became a building site. The children thoroughly enjoyed dressing up for the job and using all the relevant tools to build stable and at times, not so stable houses, for the little pigs.

There was a lot of laughter and imagination in both classes as the children constructed homes and a variety of structures with an assortment of Nursery’s building resources. The fun and excitement continued outside in the playground as we played ‘What’s the Time Mr Wolf’.

In the letter room the children drew a picture of their ‘d’ for daddy’s and furnished and refurnished the doll’s house, making a warm and inviting home for the dolls – and the odd wolf.
