This week we rounded off our autumn term topic of ‘Me, You, Everybody’. We continued to focus on ‘Our Community’ – looking at those who are part of and make up our community.

Our nook under the stairs became a police station where people could come when they had a worry and needed help. Eyes were peeled for Miss Mulloy, Mrs Gardner and Miss Tucker, whose photos were up on the wall of the station. All wanted, all on the run and all considered ‘very sporty’! In the letter room, our corner became a sanctuary for hurt and poorly pets. The vets on duty were kept very busy tending to a variety of pets.

On Friday, mountains were built up and moulded using soil in preparation for our volcano experiments. Those who wished, added the ingredients of baking soda, red food colouring and vinegar to our mountains, then stood back to watch our volcanos erupt!
