This week we focused on ‘Our Friends’. The children shared what friendship is and the many ways of showing kindness to each other.

We also focused on ‘Our Nursey School’. We discussed why we come to nursery and why it is important to learn new things. The children then shared what they liked learning at nursery, what their favourite topic is and why.

The corner of the letter room became a village for the dollhouse and playmobile people. The children created homes and schools for all the residents, families and friends. Later on in the week, the village relocated and was replaced by the tent, which proved very popular! The children took turns crawling inside and creating games around torches and teddy bears.

Under the stairs our nook became a park filled with autumnal leaves and conkers where friends could gather and play.

During the week the children made toast for morning and afternoon tea. There was a lot of anticipation and delight waiting for our toast to pop up. Unsurprisingly, the ‘tiger’ came to all four tea parties!

Request:

After much discussion and enjoyment from cleaning and ‘feeding’ the ‘gnashing nursery dentures’ with a toothbrush and anything else at hand, we have decided to extend our sound ‘t’ for teeth. Please could all children come in with their own toothbrush in a clear, named bag for a toothbrushing session on Monday 7th October.

Reminder:

On Wednesday 9th October, we will take the school bus from Brechin Place to Kensington Gardens for our annual autumn adventure. At the moment the weather forecast is for showers. Could all children please come with their welly boots!

Please see the calendar for all the details.
