Our new topic for this term is ‘minibeasts’.

We will be looking at some of these amazing types of creatures, where they live and why they are so important.

This week the children were introduced to what a minibeast is.

We focused on the sound ‘r’. After looking at rainbows and inspired by the book ‘The world made a Rainbow’, by Michelle Robinson, the children painted their own.

We finished this short week with a fun filled day celebrating St George’s Day. We started the day talking about England’s day, who Saint George was and the legend behind him and the dragon. The children enjoyed acting out their own variations of the legend with the story props and making their own fire breathing dragons.
