We have had a lovely start to the term, the children were very excited to be back and see their friends again and share their many adventures from the Easter break.
This week we introduced our exciting new topic of the term – ‘Minibeasts’. We will be looking at some of these amazing types of creatures, where they live and why they are so important to us and to the environment. This week the children were introduced to what a minibeast is. Using small world toys the children explored and made homes for a selection of insects, arachnids and gastropods. Under the stairs our spring garden became home to many winged and non-winged creatures, some without legs and some with many legs, as the children dressed up and created games with an assortment of these beasts.
