This week at Nursery, we explored the Fairy Tale of ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’! We got our hands dirty planting beans in our enchanted garden. While tending to our garden, we learned about plant growth. The children practised their potting skills, tending to their tiny beans with care and wonder. Just like the magic beans in the story, their seeds hold the promise of towering stalks and fantastical journeys, sparking excitement and curiosity. We look forward to seeing them grow over the next few weeks!
Our home corner transformed into the Giant’s castle, inspiring imaginative play and grand adventures.
Back in the classroom, we had fun with the letter ‘j’. The children created their own ‘Jack-in-the-Box’ collages and enjoyed playing with a real Jack-in-the-Box toy, laughing each time it popped up to surprise us.
In the number room, we practised counting by sticking seven ‘magic’ beans onto handprints. Each child had fun arranging the beans whilst counting them out loud.
Today, the children are taking something special home in their bags that they made for their mother’s for Mother’s Day. We wish you all a wonderful weekend!
