Paddington Bear’s home visits started last weekend. He had a very busy and fun filled time with all the Nursery teachers. From Facetime chats to New Zealand over tea, toast and marmalade, to a spot of gardening and a dinner party with friends! This week it was the teachers’ turn to share with the classes their bit of family life. The photos taken were printed out and stuck into our new ‘Paddington Bear’s Falkner House Nursery Visits’ books. We are looking forward to hearing and seeing the children’s family experiences after their weekend with Paddington.
Reminder: Please email a photo to the office.
Our nook under the stairs continued to be a big hit. Fedora hats, aprons and oven gloves were all adorned as breakfast turned to brunch and lunch in the Brown’s kitchen!
Inspired by the much-loved Peruvian bear, using paint, scissors, card and of course ‘lashings’ of glue, the children begain creating their own paper plate bear face.
We introduced the colour blue, with the wonderful book, ‘The Blue Balloon’, by Mick Inkpen. The children explored the blue treasures in the lavender scented sensory tray and created blue art using a selection of collage materials.
