This week we continued to focus on the new season, spring. Mother animals and their spring babies continued to be favoured toys to play with. Under the stairs, more stories were created around the soft toy woodland animals. The small world farm moved into the letter room and with the addition of farm vehicles, became a very popular corner!
We have had a very creative week painting spring and wild flowers with water colour paints. In the number room the children counted out and stuck ten bees in and around their works of art whilst we discussed the importance of these pollinators.
Keeping with the theme of flowers and bees the children rolled up their sleeves and made something special for their mother’s for Mother’s Day!
The children are very excited and proud to bring their spring term folders home today. Please take the time to go through them with your children – it is a treasury of creativity, which highlights what we have focused on this term.
We wish you all a wonderful holiday and look forward to seeing you again in the Summer term.
