In geography, Year 6 is learning how to represent the elevation of land on maps using contour lines. We moulded mountains out of PlayDoh and then cut sections to represent the different heights. Next, we drew around each slice which represented a different level. Finally, we wrote down the height in metres above sea level alongĀ each distinct contour line. Year 6 picked the skills up very swiftly indeed. Take a look at the images below.
